The 2012 WYSE team not only won the Regional Championship at Rend Lake College on Feb. 2 but took the title as well at this year's Sectional at SIU-Carbondale on March 13th. We look forward to another stellar performance at April 2nd's State Finals!

The West City Fall Festival and Fish Fry is set to take place Saturday October 27, 2012 , 4pm-7pm, at the West City Park and Community Center. Proceeds of the fish fry are to benefit the Benton/ West City Chamber of Commerce. The Fall Festival will include Harpist Sue Druckenmiller, Hay Rides, Craft Fair, Best Pumpkin Pie Contest, Doubles Cornhole Tournament, Best Decorated trunk Contest, a Scavenger Hunt, Inflatables For Kids, and of Course, The Lantern Launch at 8:30pm. The undersigned petitioners would respectfully represent unto your Honor: that they are residents and legal voters in the following described territory, situate in the. County of Franklin in the State of Illinois, to-wit: the Southwest quarter of Section No (28) Twenty-eight, and the Southeast quarter of Section No (29) Twenty-nine, and the Northeast quarter of Section No. (32) Thirty-two, and the Northwest quarter of Section No (33) Thirty-three, all in Township No. (7) Seven South, and in Range No (1) One East of the 3rd P.M. all of which said territory is contingent and has resident thereon a population of at least (300) Three Hundred inhabitants, and which said territory aforesaid is not included within the limits of an incorporated Town, Village or City, and which said territory aforesaid does not exceed two square miles.
